Gasoline Engines

HERE ARE SOME FACTS TO CONSIDER IF YOU HAVE
ONE OF OUR GASOLINE-POWERED WINCHES

Use gasoline with less ethanol as possible and with the highest octane rating possible.

Note: When you fill your tank at the pump, it's a good idea to run the first liter in your vehicle, it ensures to empty the gas of the previous customer, especially if it had chosen gasoline with a low octane rating...

----

Air, therefore space, in an unfilled tank will create condensation, especially during seasons with significant temperature variations.

It is therefore important to fill the tank to prevent this condensation.

----

If the winch has not been used for a prolonged period (more than 3 months), this can become problematic. So we suggest to put stabilizer in the fuel.

----

When you are shutting down the winch (after a working day), let the engine run, close the fuel valve and let it burn. Once done, pull on the starter rope to close the valves (until you feel resistance). If the exhaust valve is open, air from outside can be introduced into the engine, which can create condensation and rust the pistons, which could prevent the winch from restarting.
